Walnut Mountain in Liberty, NY was the host to the Final race of the 2022 season. The park is about a 2 hour drive from Albany, so it was an early morning for most traveling down on Sunday to make the pre-ride.
The Morning was sunny with a slight chill in the air, perfect weather for racing. The course started immediately into a climb and continued on with a slight incline as the trail traversed the mountain up to the top, and then began a fun, technical at times, long decent to the finish.
The day again started with the Girls races, Middle school followed by high school and then the Boys races , middle school followed by High School. The final race of the season earned racers more points towards their individual series championship as well as the team championships, with extra points going to racers who have competed in all 5 races.
R-Cubed had 32 racers in the championships, earning 11 podium sports for the day and several other excellent performances. Top scorers for R-Cubed for the day were: Erin, John, Collin and Owen.

We started the season in 4th this year, and Finished Second place overall Team in the series!
